Home/Refer a patient

For referring physicians

Your patient seen promptly — and you kept in the loop at every step.

When you refer a patient to Stuart Oncology Associates, you’re not handing them off — you’re adding a team. We prioritize new referrals for rapid scheduling, send a consult note back to your office promptly after the first visit, and keep you copied on the treatment plan as it evolves.

How to refer

1
Call or fax

Call our new-patient coordinator at (772) 276-7230, or fax a referral to 772-237-3109. Urgent cases: tell us — same-week consultation is the norm, not the exception.

2
Send records

Pathology report, relevant imaging and reports, recent labs, medication list, and demographics with insurance. Incomplete records shouldn’t delay care — send what you have and our team will chase the rest.

3
We close the loop

You receive our consult note after the first visit and updates at each major decision point. Direct questions any time — our physicians take peer calls.

Why practices refer to us

  • Rapid access — new patient appointments scheduled promptly, urgent cases prioritized
  • Board-certified in medical oncology, hematology, and internal medicine
  • Imaging, labs, pharmacy, and infusion under one roof — fewer hand-offs for your patient
  • Clinical trials conducted on-site, with a dedicated research coordinator — plus collaboration with Cleveland Clinic, Moffitt Cancer Center, and the University of Miami
  • Five Treasure Coast locations and bilingual care (English/Spanish)

Hematology referrals welcome for benign conditions too — unexplained anemias, cytopenias, clotting and bleeding disorders, and abnormal blood work that needs a specialist’s eye.
